OH MONDAY!

Just another manic Monday…

1. There’s no where I’d rather be than cozied up in a corner just like this with a good book and a little one to snuggle…it IS Monday after all! The best thing is that the chaise that’s used for a reading nook converts to a queen bed. Genius!

2. I spent the entire day on Sunday in home decor shops and I feel like I could give you a run down of every item available in Vancouver, ha!

3. Speaking of shopping, I’ve been looking for alarm clocks for the kids and these ones are my favourite contenders so far. I should say, I am looking an analog alarm clock for each kids’ room so that we can learn to read a clock together. I’m having a hard time finding anything amazing and FUN for the girls but this robot is hands down the winner for Xavier.

4. Today the Baker playroom is being photographed! I’m excited to share a little behind the scenes over on IG stories if you follow me there. If you don’t, come join the fun and follow me on Instagram!

5. Leaving you with the prettiest nursery; if you have the chance, head over and see the whole space. The wallpaper is so lovely!

OH MONDAY!

1. What a rainy weekend! It's September and Fall is creeping in with its' crisp mornings and crunchy leaves. The kids have ALL started school now and I can hardly believe those first 5 years are over for all three. Feeling all the feels...and

2. I have playrooms on my mind. The one I finished earlier this year is being shot next week and I can't wait to see it photographed. I'm loving the magnetic board in this fun space below and feel it would be such a special item to include in the next playroom I'm designing.

3. We have news...the house that our family has been renting has sold and we will be moving! I wish it was into our dream home, but for now we will be moving to another rental for the next 12 months, which means we are going to be saying goodbye to the kids' favourite room in the house, their art space!

4. Wallpaper makes me so happy and my client LOVED this star wallpaper so much we are going to be using it in her son's nursery. Isn't it beautiful?!

5. These stairs are hands down the most beautiful stairs I have ever seen. They are being filed under dream house.

OH MONDAY!

1. I love discovering new kids art and I think this pressed flower art might be one of my favourites above a crib in a baby nursery. Also, this nursery is just gorgeous!

2. We survived (& had fun on!) our first ever camping trip with the kids:) Thank you to those who commented on IG last week with encouragement and well wishes, it was very much appreciated. The family tent that we bought turned out to be AMAZING; it is 6'6" tall so my husband and I could fully stand up in it, which is a game changer for anyone with back issues or who just wants to feel like you are in a room, not a tent. The kids had so much fun, they are already asking when we can go again.

3. This playroom has me inspired. I just love how the giant chalkboard and symmetrical shelving units anchor the whole space. Those storage baskets are perfect for keeping toys and art hidden too.

4. If you've been following along for a while, you'll know how much our family loves nature and outdoor adventures. On the weekend, we had the chance to visit Cathedral Grove, an ancient ecosystem of Douglas fir trees, with enormous trees dating 300 - 800 years old. I highly recommend stopping here if you are ever on Vancouver Island.

5. A couple of years ago, I made a photo book to capture some of our summer pictures. I plan to do the same again this year. The kids love looking back at our adventures and I love knowing that at least a tiny part of their childhood is captured for us to remember. Do you do this too?

OH MONDAY!

1. Summer is in full swing and we are soaking up every last drop of sunshine while we can! I hope you all are too.

2. This sun-filled girl room is perfect for a Monday morning, don't you think? I just love the bunks, that teepee and that camp chair is everything.

3. I've been looking for the perfect world map for ages and I think I finally found it. This one is neutral enough to fit in pretty much anywhere and has enough detail to teach kids all about continents, countries and even major cities. I love that it comes in so many sizes and you can choose to buy it framed or unframed!

4. This canopy from Ella's room is finally back in stock!! I love how pretty it is with the glittery stars.

5. Leaving you with this summertime thought today...

1. Another sunny weekend and I discovered a new nursery designed by Sheep and Stone Interiors that is so gorgeous I just had to share with you!!! It is neutral perfection, don't you think?

2. We ventured to Aldor Acres for a private event and the kids had the BEST time seeing and holding the sweet new farm animals. Look how teeny this adorable bunny is!

3. Cute kids sunglasses are hard. I love the shape of these ones from Canadian brand L&P this summer for our girls.

4. Speaking of the girls, they have convinced me that everyone should know about our favourite popsicle recipe, so I'll be sharing that on the blog soon! I had never planned to share recipes but more and more people keep asking, so I'll start adding a few here and there.

5. This week I'm starting to design three new spaces and can't wait to show you what's in store for these rooms!

Happy Monday!
